The lands and waters of the Chesapeake still need you, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you for supporting a healthy Chesapeake and parks, trails, and access for all. Chesapeake Conservancy’s office is currently closed, so please look for your official gift acknowledgment and tax receipt at the end of the year.

  • Public Access, Parks and Trails

Only 2% of the shoreline is currently open to the public. We work with the National Park Service help create and improve public access sites, parks and trails, and advocate for access for everyone to connect them to the Bay. This is what we owe to our children and to future generations.

  • Saving What Matters

    Saving What Matters

The Chesapeake is an important place for people and wildlife. This region is home to iconic wildlife like osprey, great blue heron, bobcats, blue crabs, oysters and more. It is also a sacred place that has supported thriving cultures that have lived in harmony with nature far before John Smith ever stepped ashore. We create a unified voice to help conserve, protect, and restore the most important naturally and culturally important areas here in the Chesapeake.

  • Precision Conservation

    Precision Conservation

We use technology to practice smart conservation. Good data helps us make better conservation decisions to protect and restore the places that matter, saving resources and improving results. That means clean water and a healthy planet for generations of people and wildlife to come.
