Isabelle Kuehn

Sally S. Kleberg Conservation Data and Policy Fellow

Isabelle Kuehn is a data and policy fellow for the Chesapeake Conservancy’s Conservation Innovation Center (CIC) this summer. She is using geospatial data to model suitable habitat for local Chesapeake Bay species and to determine areas of high biodiversity that can be used to prioritize conservation efforts.

Kuehn has a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Duke University and is currently pursuing her master of environmental management degree at Duke, with a certificate in Geospatial Analysis. Her goal is to use technical knowledge to create tangible tools that will inform policy and direct conservation initiatives. In her free time, she loves to read, paint and go on weekend runs with her older brother, Alister. Living in Durham, NC, she looks forward to shopping at her local farmer’s market on summery Saturday mornings.
