Maya Clark will serve as Chesapeake Conservancy's MD Eastern Shore partnership coordinator and joins us from the ShoreCorps AmeriCorps state program. Clark grew up in Maryland and graduated from Towson University in 2026 with a bachelor’s of science in geography and a minor in GIS. Clark’s background is in environmental research and in using GIS to drive sustainable development that protects the health of people and the planet. Clark has worked on research with NASA, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and SkyTruth, on topics ranging from stream water quality analysis and urban tree canopy to how urban heat affects vulnerable communities.

Outside of work, Clark loves bouldering, knitting and spending time with her family.
