Sameer Swarup is a Kleberg Fellow with Chesapeake Conservancy’s Conservation Innovation Center (CIC) where he is currently working on the Chesapeake Bay Land Change Model to forecast development trends and land use changes in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Swarup is interested in working on and learning more about the geospatial data pipelines and neural networks that the CIC has built for identifying conservation strategies.
Swarup is a current graduate student in marine conservationat Duke University and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Carleton College. Originally from Singapore, he enjoys surfing, freediving and playing spikeball in his spare time.
