Wuillam Urvina

Bilingual Interpretive Outreach Assistant

Wuillam Urvina is of Salvadoran descent and has spent all of his life in Maryland. He is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland where he earned a double degree in environmental science and technology and Spanish. His passion for the natural environment as well as his fascination with languages has driven him to combine these interests in his professional career. He has been an intern at the Chesapeake Program Office, working with the Water Quality, Diversity, and Climate Resiliency Workgroups. He hopes to be able to combine his skills and experience to foster an appreciation for the environment in communities that have previously been underappreciated and underrepresented. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video games and learning languages.
