Chesapeake WILD Coordination and Partnership Intern

Allegra serves as the Chesapeake WILD coordination and artnership intern. She graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in integrated science and technology with a concentration in environment. During her undergraduate studies, she researched coastal resilience strategies and sea level rise impacts in the Middle Peninsula of Virginia. She is now at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science pursuing her master’s degree in marine conservation with an emphasis on science communication and climate resilience. During the internship, her work will be based on partnership building and communications, strategic planning, and cross-organizational collaboration.

Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed region, Allegra has developed a passion for conserving the beauty and special places of the Chesapeake Bay. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and playing fetch with her dog, Taffy.
