Programs in Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, MD

Chesapeake Conservancy’s headquarters are based in Annapolis, Maryland, located in Anne Arundel County. We are proud to be involved in several signature projects in Annapolis and here in our home county.

Anne Arundel Tree Canopy Analysis

The Chesapeake Conservancy’s Conservation Innovation Center (CIC) helped generate and apply new data for Anne Arundel County, Md., that revealed that the county was losing trees faster than almost any other county in the state. This data helped inform a recent change in Anne Arundel County law, that is inspiring other counties to act.

Partnerships at Sandy Point State Park

Sandy Point State Park located near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the Western Shore of the Bay, is one of the State’s most popular parks. Working together with the National Park Service, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and park staff, we are helping to improve facilities and enhance the experience for the park’s increasingly diverse audience.

  2. Can fish breathe?
  3. How dirty is the water?
